On screen

You may have seen me on television, commenting on technology, science and the future of human beings in a digital age. Here's me on Newsnight

I recently made a short film on Big Data for the Guardian.

And if you saw my live show, Brainsex, you will have seen short films made by Storycog which made it feel less like a one-person show than a "multimedia extravaganza" (Brighton Argus). Like this one about sex differences in mental rotation.

My other online videos include mathematical shorts on important topics like how far away aliens might be, and how to choose a urinal.

I have written screenplays, including a couple of shorts which I directed and got into some film festivals. Reported Missing was shown in Paris and Seoul, Korea.

You might also enjoy a film expanding the themes of scientific comedy Your Days Are Numbered: the maths of death. Like the stage show, it was written & performed by me and Matt Parker. Unlike the stage show, we had to do it outdoors in the snow. Should have kept in the ad lib about how many people die of freezing to death. Watch it at WORLDbytes.
